This sale is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — the hard disk drive itself is not included. Because we maintain a large inventory, the exact PCB you receive may differ slightly from the photo. Designed for hard drive repair and data recovery tasks. Before ordering, confirm that replacing the PCB will resolve your problem by following our hard drive diagnostics guide, and verify compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Most PCBs contain a ROM "memory" chip with unique data required for the drive to function correctly; that ROM chip or its contents must be transferred to the replacement board. If the ROM chip can be relocated, a local computer technician should be able to perform the transfer. For purchases of $60 or more we include a complimentary adaptation service, which covers either transplanting the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
