This sale is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — no hard drive is included. Because we maintain a large inventory, the exact PCB you receive may vary slightly from the photo. The board is intended for use in hard drive repair or data recovery operations. Before purchasing, confirm that a replacement PCB will resolve your issue by consulting our hard drive diagnostics guide, and verify compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Most hard drive PCBs contain unique information stored in a ROM 'memory' chip that is required for the drive to function correctly; the ROM chip or its data must be transferred to the replacement board. If the ROM chip can be physically moved, a local computer technician should be able to perform that transfer. For orders of $60 or more we include a complimentary adaptation service, which covers either relocating the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
