This sale is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — the hard drive itself is not included. Because we stock a large quantity of these PCBs, the actual board shipped may vary slightly from the photo. Intended use: data recovery and hard drive repair. Prior to purchasing, confirm that replacing the PCB will address your issue by following our Hard Drive Diagnostics Guide, and verify part compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Note: most hard drive PCBs contain unique information stored in a ROM "memory" chip that is required for correct drive operation. The ROM chip or its data must be transferred to the replacement board. If the chip can be moved, a local computer technician can typically perform the transplant. For orders of $60 or more we provide a complimentary adaptation service that either moves the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprograms the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
