This sale is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — the hard drive itself is not included. We stock a large number of PCBs, so the exact board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. Intended uses: hard drive repair and data recovery. Before ordering, confirm a PCB swap will resolve your issue by using our hard drive diagnostics guide, and verify compatibility with the Donor Matching Guide. Note: most hard drive PCBs store unique calibration and configuration data in a ROM "memory" chip; that information is required for the drive to function properly. The ROM chip or its data must be transferred to the replacement board. If the chip can be physically moved, a local computer repair technician can typically perform the transplant. For customers who spend $60 or more we include a complimentary adaptation service — either transplanting the ROM chip onto your new PCB or reprogramming the board with the correct ROM data.
