This sale is for the hard drive PCB / logic board ONLY; no HDD is included. Because we stock a large quantity of PCBs, the board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. The board is intended for hard drive repair and data recovery tasks. Before buying, verify that replacing the PCB will resolve your issue by following our hard drive diagnostics guide, and confirm compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Most WD PCBs include unique information stored in the ROM "memory" chip; that ROM data must be present on the replacement board for the drive to function correctly. If feasible, the ROM chip can be physically transferred to the new board—this is typically performed by a local computer technician. For customers spending $60 or more, we provide a complimentary adaptation service which covers either moving the ROM chip onto the replacement PCB or reprogramming the new board with the correct ROM data.
