This listing is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — the actual hard drive is not included. Due to a large inventory of compatible boards, the PCB you receive may not be identical to the photo. The board is intended for use in HDD repair and data recovery. Prior to purchasing, confirm that a PCB swap will address your issue by following our Hard Drive Diagnostics Guide, and verify compatibility with the Donor Matching Guide. Note: most hard drive PCBs contain drive-specific data stored in a ROM (memory) chip; that data is required for proper operation. The ROM chip or its contents must be transferred to the replacement board or reprogrammed into it. If transfer of the chip is possible, a local computer technician can usually perform the task. For orders of $60 or more we include a complimentary adaptation service that either moves the ROM chip to the new PCB or programs the new board with the correct ROM data.
