This sale includes the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) only — the hard drive itself is NOT included. Because we have a large stock of PCBs, the exact board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. Intended for hard drive repair and data recovery use. Before ordering, confirm that swapping the PCB will resolve your issue by following our hard drive diagnostics guide, and verify part compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Most PCBs contain unique ROM "memory" data that is required for the drive to operate correctly. That ROM or its contents must be transferred to the replacement board. If the ROM chip can be physically moved, a local computer technician can usually perform the transplant. For orders of $60 or more we include a complimentary adaptation service which covers either transplanting the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
