This sale is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — the hard drive itself is NOT included. Due to large inventory, the specific PCB shipped may vary slightly from the photo. These PCBs are supplied for hard drive repair and data recovery purposes. To confirm a replacement board will fix your drive, follow our hard drive diagnostics guide and verify compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Many PCB units contain unique configuration data stored in a ROM "memory" chip that is required for correct drive operation. That ROM chip, or its data, must be copied to the replacement board; if you cannot perform this, a local computer technician can usually transfer the chip. For customers with orders of $60 or more we provide a complimentary adaptation service that includes either moving the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
