This listing is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — no hard drive is included. Because we stock a large number of these PCBs, the actual board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. Designed for data recovery and hard drive repair tasks, this board is intended as a replacement part for compatible drives. Prior to purchasing, confirm that a replacement PCB will resolve your issue by consulting our hard drive diagnostics guide and verify compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Most PCBs store unique drive-specific information in the ROM "memory" chip; that data is required for the drive to operate correctly. The ROM chip itself, or its contents, must be transferred to the replacement board—if the chip can be moved, a local computer technician can typically perform the transplant. For orders of $60 or more we include a complimentary adaptation service that either moves the ROM chip to the new PCB or reprograms the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
