This sale is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — no hard drive included. Because we carry a large quantity of PCBs, the actual board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. Intended use: data recovery and hard drive repair. Before purchasing, verify that a replacement PCB is likely to resolve your issue by following our hard drive diagnostics guide, and confirm compatibility with the Donor Matching Guide. Note: most hard drive circuit boards store unique configuration in the ROM "memory" chip; that ROM data is required for the drive to function correctly. The ROM chip or its contents must be transferred to the replacement board. If the chip can be physically moved, a local computer technician can usually perform the transfer. For orders of $60 or more we include a complimentary adaptation service — either transplanting the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
