This sale is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — no hard drive is included. Because we stock large quantities, the exact PCB you receive may differ slightly from the photo. Intended uses: hard drive repair and data recovery. Before purchasing, confirm that a PCB swap will resolve your issue by consulting our hard drive diagnostics guide and verify compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Important: most WD SATA 2.5 PCBs contain unique configuration data stored on a ROM (memory) chip. That ROM data is required for the drive to function correctly, so the ROM chip or its contents must be transferred to the replacement board. If the ROM chip can be moved intact, a local computer technician can usually perform the transfer. For customers spending $60 or more we include a complimentary adaptation service — either transplanting the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
