This sale includes only the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board). No hard drive is included. Because we stock large quantities, the actual PCB you receive may vary slightly from the photos. The board is intended for hard drive repair and data recovery tasks. Before purchasing, confirm that a PCB swap can fix your unit by using our hard drive diagnostics guide, and verify part compatibility with the Donor Matching Guide. Many drive PCBs contain unique data stored in a ROM "memory" chip that is required for proper operation; that ROM or its contents must be transferred to the replacement board. If physical transfer of the ROM chip is possible, a local computer technician should be able to perform the move. For orders of $60 or more we include a complimentary adaptation service — either transplanting the ROM chip to the new PCB or reprogramming the new board with the correct ROM data.
