This sale is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — the hard disk itself is not included. Because we maintain a large inventory of PCBs, the exact board you receive may differ slightly from the image shown. Intended use: data recovery and hard drive repair. Prior to purchasing, confirm a PCB replacement is appropriate by following our hard drive diagnostics guide, and verify compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Important: most hard drive PCBs store unique information in a ROM "memory" chip that is required for the drive to function correctly. The ROM chip or its contents must be transferred to the replacement board. If physical chip transfer is feasible, a local computer technician can usually perform the procedure. For customers spending $60 or more we include complimentary adaptation service — either transplanting the ROM chip to the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
