This sale includes the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) only — no HDD is provided. These PCBs are sold for use in hard drive repair and data recovery. Because we stock large quantities, the exact board you receive may vary slightly from the photo. Before ordering, verify compatibility by consulting the Donor Matching Guide and confirm that a board swap will address your problem using our hard drive diagnostics guide. Important: most hard drive PCBs store unique configuration data in a ROM (memory) chip; that data is required for the drive to function. The ROM chip or its contents must be moved or reprogrammed onto the replacement board. If the chip can be physically transferred, a local computer technician can usually perform the task. For purchases of $60 or more we provide complimentary adaptation service, which includes either transplanting the ROM chip to the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
