This sale is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — the hard drive itself is not included. Because we maintain a large inventory of PCBs, the exact board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. These circuit boards are intended for hard drive repair and data recovery work. Before purchasing, confirm whether a replacement PCB will resolve your issue by using our hard drive diagnostics guide, and verify compatibility with the Donor Matching Guide. Most PCBs contain essential, unique information stored in a ROM 'memory' chip; that ROM data is required for the drive to function correctly and must be moved or transferred to the replacement board. If the ROM chip can be physically moved, a local computer technician should be able to perform the transfer. For purchases of $60 or more we provide a complimentary adaptation service that either transfers the ROM chip to the new PCB or reprograms the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
