This sale is for the hard drive printed circuit board (PCB / logic board) only — no hard drive included. Because we carry a large inventory of PCBs, the exact board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. The board is intended for use in data recovery or hard drive repair. Before ordering, confirm that a replacement PCB is likely to resolve your issue by consulting our hard drive diagnostics guide, and verify compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Most hard drive PCBs contain unique configuration data stored in a ROM "memory" chip; that information is required for correct drive operation. The ROM chip or its data must be transferred to the replacement board. If the chip can be moved to the new PCB, a local computer technician should be able to perform the transplant. For orders of $60 or more, we include a complimentary adaptation service that will either transplant the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprogram the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
