This sale is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — no hard drive is included. Because we stock a large number of PCBs, the actual board you receive may vary slightly from the photo. Designed for HDD repair and data recovery, this replacement PCB should be used only after confirming compatibility. Use our hard drive diagnostics guide to determine whether a PCB swap will resolve your issue, and review the Donor Matching Guide to ensure the part is correct for your drive. Most hard drive PCBs contain unique information stored in a ROM memory chip; that ROM data is required for proper drive operation. The ROM chip itself or its data must be transferred to the replacement board. If the chip can be physically moved, a local computer technician can typically perform the transplant. For customers whose order totals $60 or more, we provide a complimentary adaptation service that includes either moving the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprogramming the new board with the correct ROM data.
