This sale is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — no hard drive is included. Because we keep a large stock of PCBs, the exact board you receive may vary slightly from the photo. The PCB is intended for hard drive repair and data recovery use. Prior to purchase, follow our Hard Drive Diagnostics Guide to determine whether replacing the PCB will resolve your issue and review the Donor Matching Guide to confirm part compatibility. Most HDD circuit boards contain unique firmware stored in a ROM "memory" chip; that ROM data is required for correct drive operation and must be transferred or programmed onto the replacement board. If the original ROM chip can be moved, a local computer technician should be able to perform the transfer. For purchases of $60 or more we provide a complimentary adaptation service, which includes either relocating the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the proper ROM data.
