This sale is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) only — no hard drive is included. We stock a large quantity of PCBs, so the exact board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. Intended use: data recovery and hard drive repair for WD 3.5" SATA drives. Before purchasing, check our hard drive diagnostics guide to determine whether a PCB replacement will address your problem, and verify compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Many drive PCBs contain unique configuration data stored in a ROM memory chip; that ROM information is required for correct operation. The ROM chip itself or its data must be transferred to the replacement board. If transplanting the ROM chip is possible, a local computer technician can usually perform the transfer. For purchases of $60 or more we provide a complimentary adaptation service that includes either moving the ROM chip to the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
