This sale is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / Logic board) ONLY — no hard drive is included. Because we carry a large quantity of PCBs, the unit you receive may look slightly different from the photo. This PCB is intended for hard drive repair and data recovery work. Most hard drive circuit boards hold unique ROM "memory" data that is required for normal operation; the ROM chip or its data must be transferred to the replacement board. If the ROM chip can be relocated, a local computer technician can usually perform the transfer. For orders of $60 or more, we include a complimentary adaptation service that either moves the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprograms the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
