This listing is for a hard drive printed circuit board (PCB / logic board) only — no hard drive is included. Because we stock a large number of PCBs, the exact board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. This replacement board is intended for HDD repair or data recovery work. Most WD PCBs store unique information in a ROM (memory) chip that is required for the drive to operate correctly; the ROM chip or its data must be moved to the replacement board. If moving the chip is feasible, a local computer technician can typically perform the transfer.
