This sale is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — no hard drive included. We stock a large quantity of PCBs, so the board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. Intended for use in data recovery and hard drive repairs. To verify a replacement PCB will resolve your drive problem, follow our Hard Drive Diagnostics Guide and confirm compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Many hard drive PCBs store unique configuration data in a ROM "memory" chip; that data is required for the drive to function properly. You must transfer the ROM chip or its contents to the replacement board. If the ROM chip can be physically moved, a local computer technician should be able to perform the transfer. For orders of $60 or more we provide a complimentary adaptation service, which covers either transplanting the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
