This listing is for a hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — no hard drive is included. Because we stock large quantities of PCBs, the actual board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. This PCB is supplied for hard drive repair and data recovery work. Before buying, confirm that a replacement PCB is likely to fix your drive by following our hard drive diagnostics guide, and verify compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Most hard drive circuit boards store unique calibration and configuration data in a ROM “memory” chip; that information is required for correct drive operation. The ROM chip or its data must be transferred to the replacement board — if the chip can be moved physically, a local computer technician should be able to perform the swap. For customers spending $60 or more, we include a complimentary adaptation service: we will either transplant the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprogram the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
