This sale is for the hard drive PCB (logic board) ONLY — the hard drive itself is not included. We have a large inventory of PCBs, so the exact board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. The board is intended for hard drive repair and data recovery use. Before ordering, confirm that a PCB swap will address your issue by following our hard drive diagnostics guide, and check compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Most hard drive PCBs contain unique, drive-specific information stored in a ROM "memory" chip; that data is required for correct operation. The ROM chip or its contents must be transferred to the replacement board — if the chip can be moved, a local computer technician can typically perform the transfer. For purchases of $60 or more we include a complimentary adaptation service that either moves the ROM chip to the new PCB or reprograms the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
