This sale is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — the hard drive is not included. Due to our large inventory, the actual PCB shipped may vary slightly from the photo. These replacement PCBs are intended for use in hard drive repair and data recovery. Before ordering, confirm a board swap will fix your drive by following our hard drive diagnostics guide and checking compatibility with the Donor Matching Guide. Many PCBs contain vital calibration/configuration stored in the ROM "memory" chip; that ROM data is required for proper drive operation and must be moved to or programmed onto the replacement board. If you cannot perform the transfer yourself, a local computer professional can usually transplant the chip. For purchases of $60 or more we include a complimentary adaptation service, which covers either moving the ROM chip to the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement with the correct ROM data.
