Because we have a large inventory of these boards, the actual PCB you receive may vary slightly from the photo. This board is intended for hard drive repair and data recovery; please use our hard drive diagnostics guide to determine whether a PCB replacement will resolve your issue. Most hard drive PCBs contain unique configuration data stored in a ROM memory chip; that ROM or its data must be moved to or reprogrammed onto the replacement board for correct operation. If the ROM chip can be physically transferred, a local computer technician can usually perform the transplant. For orders of $60 or more we provide a complimentary adaptation service that includes either relocating the ROM chip to the new PCB or programming the correct ROM data onto the replacement board.
