This sale includes the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY. No hard drive is included. Because we stock a large quantity of PCBs, the actual board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. Intended for hard drive repair or data recovery use. Before purchasing, confirm that a replacement PCB will resolve your issue by following our hard drive diagnostics guide, and verify compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Most WD PCBs contain unique configuration data stored in a ROM memory chip; that information is required for the drive to function correctly. The ROM chip itself, or its data, must be transferred to the replacement board. If the ROM chip can be physically moved, a local computer technician can typically perform the transplant. For customers whose order totals $60 or more, we provide complimentary adaptation service — either relocating the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprogramming the board with the correct ROM data.
