This sale is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — no hard drive is included. Because we maintain a large stock of PCBs, the exact board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. This PCB is intended for hard drive repair and data recovery work. Before purchasing, use our hard drive diagnostics guide to confirm that a replacement PCB is likely to resolve your issue, and verify compatibility by consulting the Donor Matching Guide. Most drive PCBs contain unique information stored in a ROM "memory" chip that is required for the drive to function correctly; the ROM chip or its data must be transferred to the replacement board. If the ROM chip can be physically moved, a local computer technician should be able to perform that transfer. For orders of $60 or more we include a complimentary adaptation service, which covers either transplanting the ROM chip onto the replacement PCB or reprogramming the new board with the correct ROM data.
