This listing is for the hard drive printed circuit board (PCB / logic board) only — the actual hard drive is not included. Because we keep a large stock of PCBs, the exact board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. Intended use: hard drive repair or data recovery. Many drive PCBs store unique configuration data in the ROM "memory" chip; that information is required for correct drive operation. The ROM chip or its contents must be transferred or reprogrammed onto the replacement board. If you are not comfortable doing this yourself, a local computer technician can usually perform the chip transplant.
