This sale is for the hard drive printed circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — the hard drive is not included. Because we maintain a large inventory, the actual PCB shipped may vary slightly from the pictured item. These PCBs are supplied for hard drive repair and data recovery use. Prior to purchasing, confirm that a board replacement is appropriate by following our hard drive diagnostics guide and verify part compatibility with the Donor Matching Guide. Most drive circuit boards contain unique configuration data stored in a ROM chip; that information is required for correct drive operation. The ROM chip, or its data, must be moved to the replacement board — if you are unable to perform this transfer, a local computer technician can typically handle it. For customers with purchases of $60 or more, we include a complimentary adaptation service that covers either transplanting the ROM chip to the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
