This listing is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — the hard drive is not included. Because we stock a large number of PCBs, the exact board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. Use: This PCB is designed for hard drive repair or data recovery. ROM information: Many drive PCBs store unique firmware/data in a ROM "memory" chip; that data is required for correct drive operation. You must transfer the ROM chip or its data to the replacement board. If you cannot perform the transfer yourself, a local computer technician can typically handle moving the chip. Services: For purchases of $60 or more we include a complimentary adaptation service — either transplanting the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
