This sale is for the hard drive PCB / logic board only — no hard drive is included. We carry a large inventory of PCBs, so the exact board you receive may vary slightly from the photo. This PCB is intended for HDD repair and data recovery work. Before purchasing, use our Hard Drive Diagnostics guide to confirm that replacing the PCB will fix your issue, and check compatibility with the Donor Matching Guide. Many hard drive boards contain unique data stored in a ROM (memory) chip that is required for the drive to operate correctly; that ROM chip or its data must be transferred to the replacement board. If the ROM chip can be moved, a local computer technician can usually perform the transplant. For orders of $60 or more we provide a complimentary adaptation service — we will either move the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprogram the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
