This listing is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — no hard drive is included. Because we stock a large number of PCBs, the exact board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. Intended use: data recovery and hard drive repair. Before ordering, confirm that a replacement PCB will address your drive problem by following our hard drive diagnostics guide. Verify compatibility by consulting the Donor Matching Guide. Important: most hard drive PCBs store unique drive-specific data in the ROM "memory" chip. That ROM data is required for the drive to function correctly and must be transferred to the replacement board. If the ROM chip can be physically moved, a local computer technician should be able to perform the transplant. For customers spending $60 or more we include a complimentary adaptation service — either transferring the ROM chip to your new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
