This sale is for the hard drive PCB (logic board) only — the hard drive itself is NOT included. Because we maintain a large inventory of PCBs, the exact board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. Use this PCB for hard drive repair or data recovery tasks. Before purchasing, confirm a board swap will solve your issue by following our Hard Drive Diagnostics Guide and verify compatibility via the Donor Matching Guide. Most hard drive circuit boards contain a unique ROM memory chip whose data is required for correct operation; that ROM or its contents must be transferred to the replacement board. If chip transplantation is possible, a local computer technician can usually perform the transfer. For orders of $60 or more we include a complimentary adaptation service, which covers either moving the ROM chip to the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the proper ROM data.
