This sale is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — no hard drive is included. Because we stock a large quantity of PCBs, the exact board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. Intended use: data recovery and hard drive repair. Before purchasing, confirm that replacing the PCB will resolve your issue by following our hard drive diagnostics guide, and verify compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Most of the hard drive circuit boards contain unique information in the ROM "memory" chip; that data is required for correct drive operation and must be transferred to or programmed into the replacement board. If the ROM chip can be physically moved, a local computer technician can typically perform the transfer. For purchases of $60 or more, we provide a complimentary adaptation service that includes either moving the ROM chip to the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
