Product is the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) only — no hard drive included. Because we maintain a large inventory, the actual PCB shipped may vary slightly from the pictured unit. This board is intended for hard drive repair and data recovery use. Before purchasing, confirm that a PCB swap will resolve your issue by following our hard drive diagnostics guide and checking compatibility via the Donor Matching Guide. Many hard drive PCBs contain unique data stored in a ROM "memory" chip; that information is required for correct drive operation. The ROM chip or its data must be transferred to the replacement board. If you cannot perform the transfer yourself, a qualified local computer technician should be able to move the chip. For orders of $60 or more we include a complimentary adaptation service that either transfers the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprograms the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
