This listing is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — the drive itself is not included. Because we stock a large number of PCBs, the actual board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. Intended use: data recovery and hard drive repair. Before purchasing, confirm that a PCB swap is the correct repair by following our hard drive diagnostics guide, and verify compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Important: most hard drive PCBs contain unique information stored in the ROM "memory" chip. That ROM or its data must be transferred to the replacement board for the drive to function properly. If the ROM chip can be physically moved, a local computer technician can usually perform the transplant. For customers spending $60 or more, we include a complimentary adaptation service that will either transplant the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprogram the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
