Listing is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — no hard drive is included. Because we stock a large quantity of PCBs, the actual board you receive may vary slightly from the pictured item. This PCB is intended for use in data recovery and hard drive repair. To confirm a replacement PCB will resolve your issue, follow our hard drive diagnostics guide and verify compatibility with the Donor Matching Guide. Most hard drive circuit boards contain unique parameters stored in a ROM 'memory' chip; that information is required for correct drive operation. The ROM chip or its data must be transferred to the replacement board. If transplanting the chip is possible, a local computer technician should be able to perform the task. For customers with orders of $60 or more, we provide a complimentary adaptation service that includes either moving the ROM chip to the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
