Sale is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — no hard drive is included. Because we stock a large quantity of PCBs, the exact board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. This PCB is supplied for hard drive repair and data recovery use. Before ordering, confirm that a replacement PCB will resolve your issue by following our Hard Drive Diagnostics Guide and checking compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Most hard drive PCBs contain unique data stored in a ROM (memory) chip; this ROM information is required for the drive to operate correctly. The ROM chip itself or its data must be transferred to the replacement board. If you cannot perform this transfer, a local computer technician can usually move the chip or reprogram the new PCB. For orders of $60 or more we provide a complimentary adaptation service which includes either relocating the ROM chip to the new board or reprogramming the replacement PCB with the correct ROM data.
