This listing is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — no hard drive is included. Because we stock a large number of PCBs, the specific board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. Intended use: data recovery and hard drive repair. Many PCBs contain unique configuration data stored in a ROM (memory) chip; that information is required for proper drive operation. The ROM chip or its data must be transferred to the replacement board. If the chip can be moved, a local computer technician can typically perform the transfer. For customers spending $60 or more we include a complimentary adaptation service — either transplanting the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
