This sale is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — no hard drive is included. Because we maintain a large inventory, the actual PCB you receive may differ slightly from the photo. Designed for hard drive repair and data recovery tasks, this board is intended to replace a faulty PCB. Before purchasing, confirm that a replacement PCB will resolve your issue by following our hard drive diagnostics guide, and verify compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Many PCBs contain unique information stored in a ROM (memory) chip; that data is required for the drive to function correctly. The ROM chip or its contents must be transferred to the replacement board. If you cannot perform this yourself, a local computer technician can usually transplant the chip. For orders of $60 or more we provide a complimentary adaptation service, which covers either moving the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
