Sale is for the hard drive PCB (logic board) ONLY — No hard drive is included! Because we stock large quantities of PCBs, the board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. This PCB is intended for HDD repair and data recovery tasks. Before purchasing, confirm compatibility by consulting our Donor Matching Guide and run the hard drive Diagnostics Guide to determine if a replacement board will resolve your issue. Many hard drive PCBs contain unique data stored in a ROM (memory) chip; that information is required for the drive to function correctly. The ROM chip or its contents must be transferred to the replacement board. If the chip can be moved, a local computer technician can usually perform the transplant. For customers who spend $60 or more, we provide a complimentary adaptation service that either transfers the ROM chip to the new PCB or reprograms the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
