This sale is for the hard drive printed circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — the hard drive is not included. Because we maintain a large inventory of PCBs, the specific board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. Intended for HDD repair and data recovery, this PCB is supplied to replace a faulty logic board. Before ordering, review our hard drive diagnostics guide to confirm a PCB swap will address your problem and use the Donor Matching Guide to ensure compatibility. Many hard drive PCBs contain a unique ROM "memory" chip that stores essential data required for the drive to function; that ROM chip or its contents must be transferred to the replacement board. If the ROM chip can be moved, a local computer technician should be able to perform the transplant. For customers with purchases of $60 or more, we provide a complimentary adaptation service that includes either moving the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
