Product is the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) only — the hard drive is NOT included. We stock large quantities, so the PCB you receive may vary slightly from the photo. This board is intended for hard drive repair and data-recovery applications. Before ordering, confirm that a replacement PCB will address your problem by using our Hard Drive Diagnostics Guide, and verify compatibility with the Donor Matching Guide. Most hard drive PCBs contain unique information stored in a ROM "memory" chip; that ROM data is required for the drive to operate correctly. The ROM chip itself, or its contents, must be transferred to the replacement board. If the chip can be physically moved, a local computer technician can usually perform the transplant. For customers spending $60 or more we include a complimentary adaptation service: either transplanting the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
