This sale includes the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — no hard drive is included. Because we keep a large inventory of PCBs, the board you receive may differ slightly from the picture. These PCBs are provided for hard drive repair and data recovery use. Before buying, confirm a replacement PCB will resolve your issue by following our hard drive diagnostics guide, and verify compatibility with the Donor Matching Guide. Many drive boards store unique configuration data in a ROM memory chip that is required for proper drive operation; that ROM or its data must be transferred to the replacement board. If possible, a local computer technician can transplant the ROM chip; alternatively, for orders of $60 or more we include a complimentary adaptation service that either moves the ROM chip to the new PCB or reprograms the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
