This sale is for the hard drive PCB / logic board ONLY — the drive itself is NOT included. Because we maintain a large inventory, the actual PCB you receive may vary slightly from the photo. This board is intended for use in hard drive repair and data recovery work. Before purchasing, consult our hard drive diagnostics guide to confirm that a PCB replacement is likely to resolve your issue. Verify compatibility by reviewing the Donor Matching Guide. Many hard drive circuit boards contain unique information stored in the ROM "memory" chip; this data is required for proper drive operation. The ROM chip, or its data, must be transferred to the replacement board. If the ROM chip can be physically moved to the new PCB, a local computer technician can typically perform the transplant. For orders of $60 or more we provide a complimentary adaptation service, which includes either transplanting the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
