This listing is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — the hard drive itself is not included. Because we maintain a large inventory of PCBs, the exact board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. Intended use: data recovery and hard drive repair. Before ordering, confirm that a replacement PCB will solve your problem by following our hard drive diagnostics guide, and verify compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Most drive PCBs store unique service data on a ROM "memory" chip; that ROM information is required for the drive to function correctly. The ROM chip or its data must be transferred to the replacement board. If the chip can be physically moved, a local computer technician can usually perform the transplant. For purchases of $60 or more, we provide a complimentary adaptation service that either transfers the ROM chip to the new PCB or reprograms the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
