This listing is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) only — the drive itself is not included. Because we stock a large number of PCBs, the board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. These replacement PCBs are intended for use in data recovery and hard drive repair projects. Before ordering, confirm that a PCB swap is likely to resolve your issue by following our hard drive diagnostics guide, and verify compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Note: most HDD PCBs store drive-specific information in a ROM chip; that ROM data is required for proper operation. The ROM chip or its contents must be transferred to the replacement board. If the ROM can be physically moved, a local computer technician can usually perform the transfer. For orders of $60 or more we include a complimentary adaptation service that either moves the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprograms the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
