This sale is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — no hard drive is included. Because we have a large inventory, the exact PCB you receive may differ slightly from the photo. This PCB is intended for use in hard drive repair or data recovery. Before purchasing, confirm that a replacement PCB will resolve your issue by following our hard drive diagnostics guide, and verify compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Many WD PCBs store vital, drive-specific information in a ROM "memory" chip; that ROM data must be transferred to the replacement board for the drive to operate correctly. If the ROM chip can be moved, a qualified local technician can perform the transplant; alternatively, we provide complimentary adaptation service for orders of $60 or more, which includes either relocating the ROM chip onto the new board or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
