This sale is for the hard drive PCB / logic board only — no HDD is included. Because we have a large inventory of PCBs, the exact board you receive may differ slightly from the picture. This PCB is intended for hard drive repair and data recovery work. Prior to purchase, confirm that replacing the PCB will resolve your issue by using our hard drive diagnostics guide, and verify part compatibility with the Donor Matching Guide. Important: most hard drive circuit boards store unique information in a ROM "memory" chip that is required for proper drive operation. The ROM chip or its data must be transferred to the replacement board. If you cannot perform this transfer yourself, a local computer technician should be able to move the chip or reprogram the board. For customers spending $60 or more, we include a complimentary adaptation service that covers either moving the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
